Ara, our airport jobs and skills hub has provided 279 training opportunities, 159 total job placements with 124 South Aucklanders being placed into jobs. It helps South Aucklanders get jobs and training at, or near Auckland Airport. Ara also connects South Auckland secondary students from five schools, Aorere College, Māngere College, Manurewa High School, Southern Cross Campus and Onehunga High School, to work experience opportunities. We will extend the programme to cover more schools and students in coming years.
Our Auckland Airport Education Scholarships include paid work experience in a customer services role.
