Nadine Higgins

MC

Nadine Higgins (nee Chalmers-Ross) is an award-winning journalist and broadcaster with extensive experience across television, radio, newspapers and magazines. Nadine is renowned as a fiercely intelligent, articulate and engaging MC.

Nadine is an in-demand MC, a qualified Financial Adviser and a Director of enable.me financial strategy & coaching Auckland Central. She is also a financial commentator for Today FM, doing daily commentary every evening.

Nadine’s background in broadcasting and business journalism means she can quickly get to grips with complex topics, moderate multi-person panels and think on her feet when the best laid plans go awry. She’s worked for some of New Zealand’s top shows including Morning Report, One News, NZI Business, Seven Sharp, Breakfast, The Sunday Star Times, and currently, The Project and The AM Show.

Nadine brings elegance, eloquence and charm to a glittering gala dinner and to a conference she lends her sharp mind, professionalism and quick wit.
Many of Nadine’s clients book her year after year because they believe her skills as an MC, facilitator and interviewer are difficult to surpass.

Dan Te Whenua Walker

Dan Walker has tribal affiliations to Tangahoe, Ngati Ruanui, Nga Ruahinerangi, Ngati Kahungunu ki Wairoa, Te Maniapoto, Tatiawa uhourangi and Pakeha. He is a mokopuna of the great freedom fighter Titokowaru and wahine leader Ruaputahanga.

He was privileged to be nurtured under the manaakitanga of Kaai Tahu iwi for over 25 years of his life in Otautahi and Dan currently lives in, and pays respect to, the whenua lands of Ngati Manuhiri in Stanmore Bay Auckland with his wife Michelle and their three tamariki Josh, Tyler and Maia. Dan is Global Co-Chair of Indigenous at Microsoft where he is focused on supporting Indigenous empowerment wherever Microsoft is and raising the Indigenous voice in technology globally. He works as a Channel Executive across Australia and NZ looking after Partners and Cloud Solutions at Microsoft.

Through the help of his whanau, his elders and his tribal teachers, Dan has learned much of his Maori cultural wisdom through the 15+ years of service to his iwi tribe Ngati Ruanui. His experiences shaped his belief that Indigenous wisdom is for everyone and we need to reclaim this wisdom that has been handed down to us. His Masters degree was about tikanga Maori ki te ao matihiko – Maori values as a framework for digital leadership. This journey led him down interviews with Indigenous leaders from around he world about Indigenous wisdom from a digital context. Dan will discuss some of these Indigenous approaches to technology and how Maori are starting to collaborate with modern legal and corporate frameworks for true long-term inter-generational change for our future.

Dan is the Deputy Chair of NZ Maori Tourism, Pou Tuara of Te Runanga o Ngati Ruanui, Director of Auckland Unlimited, board member of Child Cancer Foundation and Ronald McDonald House - as well as a variety of community trustee and voluntary roles around the motu. He holds an MBA and a Masters in Advanced Leadership.

Dan was awarded the Young Maori Business Leader of the Year award and the NZ UoA 40 under 40 award last year.

Carrie Hurihanganui

Chief Executive, Auckland Airport

Carrie Hurihanganui has been Chief Executive of Auckland Airport since February 2022. Prior to joining Auckland Airport, Carrie was Chief Operating Officer at Air New Zealand, overseeing a global workforce of >9,000 across 16 countries at its peak.

Carrie has over 22 years of operational and strategic experience in the aviation industry, having held several senior roles at Air New Zealand, leading customer experience transformation, maximising business growth and building high performing and engaged teams.

She left the airline in 2017 to join National Australia Bank (NAB) based in Melbourne as Executive General Manager Customer Experience before returning in 2018 to the Chief Ground Operations Officer role, before transitioning into the Chief Operating Officer role in 2020.

Carrie is passionate about building a better future grounded in purpose and people. She has a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University and has completed a number of advanced programmes of study, including INSEAD and Harvard.

Scott Tasker

Chief Customer Officer, BSc (Technology), Auckland Airport

Scott Tasker leads Auckland Airport’s aeronautical commercial team, focusing on sustainably growing our airline capacity, improving route connectivity and increasing passenger volumes.

Scott has more than 20 years’ experience in the travel industry, both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and has held a number of roles in airline sales, marketing and management with Emirates and Lufthansa.

Prior to joining Auckland Airport, Scott held leadership positions in the travel insurance industry with Cover-More Travel Insurance and the Healix Assistance Group. He joined Auckland Airport in February 2015

Arvind Chandrasekhar

Associate Partner at Lufthansa Consulting

Arvind is a management consulting professional with wide international experience, advising clients in the travel industry in Europe, South Asia, South East Asia, the USA and Oceania. He has also previously lived in the Middle East and the UK.

In his current role, he leads aviation consulting project teams and is responsible for project delivery, client satisfaction, team experience and growth, and project profitability. He also actively supports sales efforts globally, with a particular focus on South Asia.

Arvind also heads the Network and Fleet Management Solution Group (practice area) at Lufthansa Consulting, driving thought leadership and solution development.
