The agency responsible for looking after everyone’s security needs at Auckland Airport has a new home.

Aviation Security Services (AVSEC) has moved to a new two storey premises next to the international terminal.

The 2200m2 building includes a public reception area, airport control, AVSEC Regional Office, briefing and cafe facilities for up to 600 uniformed staff and dog handling facilities.

The building interior was planned around several security zones. Office areas have generally been located on the first floor with the more secure zones located through most of the ground floor.
