Leonard Isitt makeover

Auckland Airport is busy giving Leonard Isitt Drive a makeover. Over the past few weeks, work has been done behind the scenes that will upgrade its look, straighten the road and develop a high quality environment for the new and existing users of the area.

Construction is set to start towards the end of the year with a short break pencilled in over the Christmas period.

After that, visitors will start to see smart paving on the new footpaths, and public car parks on the road for easy short term access to the new retail developments.

Trees will line both sides of the newly aligned road, there will be quality stylish street furniture and a touch of urban art.

Work on Leonard Isitt drive will be completed by autumn 2011.
