Generous travellers through Auckland Airport emptied their pockets to the tune of $23,000 in a New Zealand Red Cross bushfire appeal last month.
Airport emergency officers and customer service staff jingled collection buckets in the airport's terminals for six days and raised the money in response to the devastating bushfires in the Australian state of Victoria. Thank you for your generous donations.
Auckland Airport CEO Simon Moutter presented the New Zealand Red Cross with a giant cheque last week. The New Zealand Red Cross will send the real cheque to their counterparts in Australia to help all those affected by this devastating tragedy.
