Robert Sinclair, Auckland Airport

06 May 2008

Robert Sinclair, chief financial officer, Auckland International Airport Limited (Auckland Airport) has resigned.

He will leave Auckland Airport at the end of August, following the announcement of the company's annual results for the 2008 year.

Robert is emigrating to London with his family to pursue new career opportunities.

Robert was appointed chief financial officer of Auckland Airport in April 2005 from a career in investment banking and law. Before his role at Auckland Airport, he was one of the company's external advisers.

Don Huse, Auckland Airport chief executive officer, said "During his three years at Auckland Airport, Robert has provided strong leadership of the Finance and Accounting, Corporate Strategy and Planning, Corporate Affairs and Information Technology and Telecommunications teams. He has been instrumental in developing a new vision and strategy for the company and enhancing its reporting and treasury functions, as well as providing strong support to me as chief executive.

Robert has also been of significant assistance to the Board in responding to the various ownership and capital restructuring proposals over the last 18 months. He leaves us with our gratitude for his contribution to Auckland Airport and our best wishes for an exciting new future for him and his family in England."

"A process to recruit a new chief financial officer will commence shortly. The capability and experience of each of the teams reporting to Robert has been enhanced over the last several years with the appointment and development of a number of very competent senior managers. They will continue to make strong progress in each of these key divisions and in so doing contribute much to the ongoing success of Auckland Airport."
