Ethical business

Auckland Airport is committed to operating in a responsible and sustainable manner. We strive to ensure we create enduring environmental, social, cultural and wider economic value for New Zealand as part of our ongoing business activity.

Ethics and Code of Conduct

The Ethics and Code of Conduct Policy details our commitment to act ethically by engaging in sound practices, respecting others and accepting responsibility for our behaviour. This is critical to the company’s vision of being a great New Zealand business recognised for contributing to New Zealand’s long-term prosperity.

Auckland Airport has zero tolerance for fraud, bribery or corruption. Our Whistleblower Policy ensures protection for any employee who wishes to make a disclosure of serious wrongdoing by or within the Company.

Human Rights

We support the protection of human rights and are guided by principles such as those in the UN Global Compact, the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, UN Convention of the Rights of the Child and the International Labour Organisation Core Conventions.

Modern slavery is a key human rights risk, both in operations and supply chains. Auckland Airport is committed to ensuring it is not doing business with individuals or companies who knowingly profit from modern slavery. Our Modern Slavery Policy, along with our Modern Slavery statement for the FY22 reporting period describes the actions that we’ve taken to assess and address potential human rights violations in our operations and supply chain.

Sustainable Procurement

We recognise that adopting appropriate best practice contracting and procurement principles will enhance the value we create for the local and wider New Zealand communities. We therefore seek to work with suppliers that share our commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices in an effort to generate long-term value for all stakeholders.

Our Supplier Code of Conduct outlines our ambition for all suppliers providing products and services to Auckland Airport.
