Auckland Airport to simplify digital services: Strata Club reward programme phasing out and app transitions to website

• Strata Club and Auckland Airport app will be closed at 23:59, Monday 30 November

• There is no change to Auckland Airport’s international departures lounge, Strata Lounge, which will continue to operate as normal

Auckland Airport has advised customers the Strata Club rewards programme and Auckland Airport app will be retired, as part of its move to simplify digital services and prioritise the Auckland Airport website.

The Strata Club loyalty programme and Auckland Airport app will close at 23:59 on Monday 30 November. 

A phased approach will give Strata Club members time to make the most of their remaining rewards, with customers continuing to have opportunities to earn points over the next month (until 30 September, 2026), and use up their eligible points and relevant benefits over the next 90 days (until 30 November, 2026).

Auckland Airport Chief Customer Officer Scott Tasker said customers will still be able to access the core services they use most, through the Auckland Airport website.

"Over the past year, we've put a lot of work into our website to give customers a better, mobile-friendly experience and make information easier to find. Rather than having two separate places for the same information, we are streamlining our digital services to bring everything together in one spot on the website, while removing the duplicate services offered in the app. 

"Our priority is making the transition as straightforward as possible. We've given customers advance notice, and they'll continue receiving updates, support and reminders to make the most of their remaining Strata Club points and benefits before the programme closes in three months’ time.”

For customers who currently use the Auckland Airport app, airport information and services, including booking parking and flight information, will continue to be available through the Auckland Airport website.

Existing Strata Club customer logins will automatically transition to an AKL login that supports parking bookings and future airport services on the website only.  

Customer support will also be available to assist members with questions or account enquiries. 

Importantly, there is no change to Auckland Airport’s international departures lounge, Strata Lounge, which will continue operating as normal.
