Auckland Airport announces that Scott Weenink, General Counsel & Company Secretary, has resigned and will leave Auckland Airport at the end of his notice period.

Scott Weenink, who until recently was a director of North Queensland Airports, will also resign from his position as a director of Tainui Auckland Airport Hotel GP which owns the Novotel Auckland Airport and which will shortly commence construction of Pullman Hotel at Auckland Airport.

Scott Weenink, who joined Auckland Airport in February 2016, will join global enterprise messaging provider Modica Group as an Executive Director and Chief Commercial Officer having already been a non-executive Director of Modica Group since mid- 2016.

“The Company and Board are disappointed to see Scott go but we wish him well with his future endeavours” says Sir Henry van der Heyden, Auckland Airport’s Chair.

“I have enjoyed my time at Auckland Airport but the time is right to join Modica Group full-time and also to spend time on other investments and directorships” says Scott Weenink.
