Preparations for the Rugby World Cup are well and truly underway at the airport.
With less than a year to go until the big event, we have a dedicated team of staff working hard to ensure the airport will be ready for the influx of visitors and the tonnes of luggage they will bring with them.
The team – Mike Clay, Lucy Thomas, Richard Llewellyn, Debbie White, Sarah Aldworth, Karlee Lightbourne, Martin Fryer, Sean Thompson, Bridgette Miller, Paul Divers – is focused on three main areas.
- Getting people in and out of the airport safely, efficiently, and with a smile
- Managing the airport’s reputation and the media
- Providing a memorable and uniquely Kiwi welcome and departure experience.
Over the coming months, everyone at the airport will be getting involved – together we will make a fantastic impression on the fans and players alike.
