The directors of Auckland International Airport Limited (Auckland Airport) today announced that discussions with the third party, who had expressed interest in making an offer for the company in late December, have ended.
Chairman of Auckland Airport, Tony Frankham, said that in discussions with the potential bidder last night, it became clear that the initial terms proposed by the party concerned would not meet the Board's requirements.
"As a result, both parties felt it was preferable to end discussions at this point. The party concerned has advised us that they will not be proceeding further."
Mr Frankham said that, due to the confidentiality agreement signed with the third party, it was not possible to share further information.
