Tourism Forum 2023

Date: 10 May 2023
Location: Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre, Ōtautahi Christchurch

After a three-year hiatus, the New Zealand Tourism Forum is back for 2023 – for the 8th year that the team at Auckland Airport be hosting travel and tourism industry leaders from throughout New Zealand, to release new market research, updates on aviation and visitor source markets and invite industry leaders to share their knowledge with the wider industry.

With International Passengers having recovered to 71% of their pre-Covid numbers, New Zealand is back open, and Auckland Airport is building a better future. We’re reconnecting the country to the world through the return of international carriers and the introduction of brand-new routes, making you more connected than ever. Along with this, Climate change resilience remains a focus for us, as we remain committed to reducing our carbon footprint and meeting our target of a 90% reduction in direct emissions from 2019 levels by 2030.

As part of our role in New Zealand’s tourism industry, we perform an important task sharing market trends and promoting new tourism products and market development activities to ensure New Zealand remains a world leading tourism destination. This year’s Forum focused on the topic on everyone’s mind – the reset of the Tourism Industry.
