Curiously Kiwi

Think NZUnique and interesting New Zealand products have been getting an extra push in the new store Think NZ.

Having opened airside on November 20, Think NZ gives departing passengers the opportunity to take home everything from Whittaker’s chocolate and Comvita honey to designer coats and clothing from MerinoMink. There’s even Rugby World Cup merchandise in preparation for the big event in 2011.

Retail manager Kal Kular says the well-stocked wine section has already inspired huge demand from travellers and they’re planning to start regular wine tasting in the near future.

The smart way to pack

Ever arrived at the check-in counter only to be told that you have to pay for your excess baggage? (Surely those new shoes don’t weigh that much?!)

Baggage servicesWell, now you’ve got another option, with the new Smart Carte store in the international check-in area.

If you’ve gone over the weight allowance for your airline, Smart Carte can get your luggage home just a couple of days after you for less. They also offer slower, cheaper options if you spent all your money shopping!

As well as sending your shoes home, they also offer luggage wrapping services and baggage storage.
