Auckland International Airport Limited (Auckland Airport) today announced that it has appointed Simon Robertson as its new chief financial officer reporting to Simon Moutter, chief executive. He will take up his new position in early August 2009.
Simon Robertson has been with Auckland Airport for nearly five years now in a number of senior financial and aeronautical roles. He has a very strong understanding of airport and aviation sector economics and the strategic environment in which Auckland Airport and its airline customers and stakeholders are operating.
Auckland Airport chief executive officer, Simon Moutter said “Simon is a proven performer who will drive Auckland Airport forward as a business. His background and skills means he will provide an immediate transition to the role and he will hit the ground running. I’m looking forward to welcoming Simon to the leadership team at Auckland Airport.”
